How many design flow steps and tools are needed to fulfil the task? What kind of interfaces must be integrated into the design flow? People who are able to answer this questions partly will need detailed expert know how. To answer all upcoming questions will need experts from all technical areas of EDA. Therefore, an EDA network is the only possibility for solving all problems.

In the future, this problem will aggravate with the growing chip complexity and the miniaturization of physical structures. Design flows will achieve a complexity that even large companies need consulting from expert all over the world. Comprehending solutions can only be provided in closed cooperation in a competence network for EDA.
